Long time friends, Alihan and Dan have been cultivating ideas into reality for several years. Meeting in high school, the duo began with freelance photography of landscapes and people. Years later, the two have turned a simple hobby into a professional grade service, inspired to help better small businesses in an economical manner.



Alihan Turksen
Operations Director/Co-Founder – Alihan is the visionary behind the scences of Luminance as he looks to bring success to your business through strategic and innovative approaches. With a rich blend of creativity and analytical prowess, Alihan has brought results exceeding client expectation every time he has lead a project in his career.
Personal Bio – Born in Los Angeles, Alihan moved around the world for the first portion of his life until landing in Logan’s international terminal in 2007. Currently studying at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Alihan spends his time outside the classroom leading projects to bring together businesses and people in his local community. He currently holds the title of vice-captain and official club representative for Worcester Warriors FC as well as earning several accolades along the way from league officials for on/off field work that he has done. On top of his work with the Warriors Alihan continues to elevate his classmates and peers around him through mentorship programs that he offers to local colleges career service centers. He also has initiated community outreach programs to bridge the gap between the organizations he represents and the communities that house them. On a personal level, he enjoys visiting museums, art galleries, and spending time modeling for fashion shows and brands internationally.



Daniel Prefontaine
Creative Director/Co-Founder – Dan is a freelance photographer of 5+ years. With professional experience and visual media education, he brings a distinct photographic style and a passion for creating high-quality work to every project.
Personal Bio – Dan was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up moving around the state. As a kid, he loved playing with disposable cameras, pointing at anything and everything that excited him, and clicking the shutter until every exposure was used up. Going into university, Dan rediscovered his passion for photography after taking his dad’s old digital camera on a trip to Montreal. From that point on, the desire to capture and create became insatiable. Dan graduated from Framingham State in may of 2023, with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability, and a minor in Communication Arts. He’s an avid supporter of Liverpool Football Club, and enjoys traveling when time allows.
